Pegasus Product widmet sich der abgebrochenen, offenen Kante, dem zivilisatorischen Grind und schafft Artefakte und Requisiten einer zeitgenössischen Mythologie als Linse zur Betrachtung des eigenen Daseins und als Werkzeug zur eigenen Verortung. Industriell in allumfassender Logik von Wirtschaftlichkeit hergestellt ist das neue Pressspan-Möbel günstiger als sein Material. Sowie sein Inneres durch die abgebrochene Kante zum Vorschein kommt wird es mitsamt aller energetischen Ladung, die es durch den täglichen Gebrauch erhielt, an einer dunklen Ecke, wo Anonymität und Armut sich treffen können, entsorgt. Als kleine Inseln zeitgenössischer Archäologie sind diese Ecken wie natürliche Quellen von Zeugen unseres existenziellen Kontexts. Ist das uringetränkte Billy Regal eine heimliche Globusbar oder Hausaltar? Sind Mikrowellen Stühle? Ist die zerbrochene Salzkristalllampe doppelt, oder nur noch halb so wirksam?
Pegasus Product ist eine junge, dynamische Gemeinschaftspraxis von Dargelos Kersten, Anton Peitersen und Gernot Seeliger, die neidisch das generische Konsumgut beäugt, und sich unverhohlen sucht scheinbar bewährte Produkte anzueignen und weiterzuentwickeln, die abgebrochene Pressspankante salonfähig und Pflastersteine als energetisch heilsam erlebbar zu machen.
Pegasus Product is dedicated to the broken, open edge, the civilisational grind, creating artefacts and props of a contemporary mythology as a lens to view one’s own existence and as a tool to locate oneself. Industrially produced in the all-encompassing logic of economy, the new pressboard furniture is cheaper than its material. As soon as its interior is revealed through the broken edge, it is disposed of, along with all the energetic charge it received through daily use, in a dark corner where anonymity and poverty can meet. As small islands of contemporary archaeology, these corners are like natural sources of witnesses to our existential context. Is the urine-soaked billy shelf a secret globe bar or house altar? Are microwaves chairs? Is the broken salt crystal lamp double, or only half as effective?
