A declaration of love to Bad Gastein.
Lars Langemeier (*1970) studierte visuelle Kommunikation an der FH Dortmund und am Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall. Lars Langemeier liefert den Betrachter visuellen Momenten der Erkenntnis aus. Die Gedanken beginnen zu kreisen. Was war? Was ist? Was wird? Und doch stiften die Bilder in ihrer Trostlosigkeit einen Hauch Hoffnung. Sie sind Ausdruck der Verweigerung jeglicher Veränderung und eine Liebeserklärung an all die mutigen und visionären Menschen zugleich.
Für seine Fotoprojekte reist Lars Langemeier um die Welt. Seine Motive aus dem Grandhotel Straubinger sind eine Liebeserklärung an Bad Gastein, die nun erstmalig an diesen geschichtsträchtigen Ort zurückkehren.

Lars Langemeier (born 1970) studied visual communications at Dortmund Technical College and Falmouth College of Arts, Cornwall. The photographer provokes the spectator with pictorial references of wisdom. Questions spring to mind. What was? What is? What will? The images will bring light to the gloomy reality, whilst simultaneously expressing the denial of any change. They are a declaration of love to all the brave and visionary people. For his photography projects Lars Langemeier is traveling around the world. His images from the Grandhotel Straubinger are a declaration of love to Bad Gastein. Now, the pictures are returning to this historic place for the first time.
