Katharina Prantl lebt und arbeitet in Wien und Pöttsching (Burgenland). Die Tochter des Künstlerehepaares Karl Prantl und Uta Peyrer-Prantl studierte von 1978 bis 1981 bei Max Weiler an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien und von 1981 bis 1983 in der Meisterklasse Arnulf Rainer. Zahlreiche Ausstellungen in New York, Istanbul, Budapest, Bratislava und Italien folgten. Für ihr Kunstbuch „Gehen von Stein zu Stein“ wurde sie mit dem österreichischen Staatspreis ausgezeichnet. In Bad Gastein zeigt Katharina Prantl Arbeiten aus der Werkgruppe „Tropfen“.
Katharina Prantl lives and works in Vienna and Pöttsching (Burgenland). The daughter of the artist couple Karl Prantl and Uta Peyrer-Prantl studied from 1978 to 1981 with Max Weiler at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and from 1981 to 1983 in the master class Arnulf Rainer. Numerous exhibitions in New York, Istanbul, Budapest, Bratislava and Italy followed. For her art book „Walking from Stone to Stone“ she was awarded the Austrian State Prize. In Bad Gastein Katharina Prantl shows works from the group of works „Drops“.
