Charlott Cobler (*1991) studierte Fotografie an der Ostkreuzschule in Berlin. Ihren Abschluss machte sie in der Klasse von Werner Mahler. Heute arbeitet sie als freie Fotografin in Berlin. Ihre Themen beziehen sich auf zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen. Der Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit liegt in der Porträtfotografie. Ihr Projekt, „Eine unumstößliche Verbindung“, fragt nach dem Ideal der ewigen Verbundenheit zwischen Menschen. Die Fotografin antwortet darauf mit der Verbindung zwischen Geschwistern, zwischen denjenigen, die einander die längste Zeit ihres Lebens begleiten. In ihren Bildern lässt sie uns die tiefe Zuneigung, eine Hingabe füreinander ohne spürbare Hemmschwellen spüren.

Charlott Cobler (born 1991) studied photography at the Ostkreuz School in Berlin. She graduated from Werner Mahler’s class and now works as a freelance photographer in Berlin. Her topics relate to interpersonal relationships. The focus of her work is on portrait photography. “The Tie That Cannot Be Denied” is a project by the artist, who asks, if there is such a thing as an eternal bond between two people. She answers that if there is, then it is the bond between siblings. Between the two people who can be there for one another for more of their lives than anyone else. This truth is simply there, within the dynamic of unspoken surrender that forms the way we reveal ourselves to one another.
