Edin Zenun (Skopje, 1987) lebt und arbeitet in Wien. Zenuns Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Malerei und die ihr innewohnenden Fragen nach der Komposition, dem Zusammenspiel von Form und Farbe und ihrer Materialität, indem er handgemachte Pigmente, Öl und Ton erforscht. Seine Gemälde untersuchen den Raum zwischen Abstraktion und Figuration und die Schnittstelle zwischen der Netzhaut und dem Gehirn, wo sich einzelne Teile in ein Ganzes verwandeln. Seine Arbeiten wurden unter anderem im Belvedere 21, Wien (AT), AutoItalia, London (GB) und Zeller van Almsick, Wien (AT) ausgestellt.
Edin ist auch als Ausstellungsmacher tätig; von 2017 bis 2022 war er Gründer und Vorstandsmitglied des Projektraums Pina und betreibt weiterhin die Ausstellungsplattform Haus Wien.
Edin Zenun (Skopje, 1987) lives and works in Vienna. Zenun’s work centers on painting and its intrinsic questionings around composition, the interaction of form and color, and its materiality by exploring handmade pigments, oil, and clay. His paintings examine the space between abstraction and figuration and the interface between the retina and the brain, where individual parts transform into a whole. His work has been exhibited at Belvedere 21, Vienna (AT), AutoItalia, London (GB), Zeller van Almsick, Vienna (AT), among others.
Edin’s practice expands to organising exhibitions; From 2017 until 2022 he was founder and board member of project space Pina and continues to run the exhibition platform Haus Wien.
